I think we want to keep the logo design simple, and then bring in the freshness and crispness in other design elements (website, etc) with color: tons of white space, lots of blue, and then pops of green.
I think we might just want to do the logo in black/white and then bring the color in in other areas. Black/white kinda gives it classic look.
I’m thinking maybe big block letters for “Resurrection” then something script-y for “Orange County” or “OC."
In terms of layout, I think we want to incorporate an abstract shape or symbol that conveys the concepts of resurrection, vulnerability and beauty. A friend suggested a way to incorporate an empty tomb motif, attached the idea here.
