FriendingTopics (friendingtopics.com)
Friending Topics is a new way to watch your twitter feed.
It's trending topics - but among people you follow.
Friendingtopics highlights trends and popular words, phrases, links, hashtags and more in a single screen.
Our prototype website can be viewed at http://friendingtopics.com.
Just hover over a phrase 'friday night' to see all the recent tweets mentioning plans for friday night. Isn't 'friday night' a more useful trending topic than Jay-Z or #followfriday?
While this is currently a twitter only service, we will be launching for other social networks and messaging systems in the future. The design shouldn't focus too tightly on the twitter aspect.
Twitter users who want a quick way to catch up on issues being discussed by their friends without having to read every tweet in order.
Likely to build a significant corporate base, using the service to monitor activity in supplier, customer and competitor accounts.
We are looking for a logo to represent our service - friendingtopics.com.
The primary purpose of the logo is to bring a quality feel to the header of the site and any avatar / screenshot presence the app achieves in directory sites such as oneforty.com.
Recognizability is also important.
Specifics:
- An element of the logo, or the logo itself, should work well as a square aspect avatar at 48 x 48px.
The obvious no-nos:
1. No chirping birds
2. Please avoid use of the typical twitter-like fonts.
3. Please do not use any stock images or clip art in the logo
The files we will require are:
Print file format - .ai (CMYK)
Web file format - .jpg and layered .psd (RGB)
