Re Colours: Think the darker tones of modern pastel colours eg the blue/green end of http://www.greatpastels.com/color_chart4.html (ie Chlorophyll & above .0 to 0.2) Although the logo will include green, it is intended that the website it appears on will have blues and whites as the primary colours (with greens as secondary colours). Please include a primary and secondary brand colour palette with your design.
The emotions and values the logo needs to embody/express are trustworthiness, empathy, warmth, happy, playful, positive, clean, clear, soothing, practical. Ultimately, we are selling solutions, so it needs to have a serious side, yet be a little playful. The key is getting the balance right: it should not be “too corporate”, but it should also not be “too toy-shop”.
We are conscious that the “Jester” part of the Green Jester name could be taken to have negative connotations such as “tricky”, “joking”, “untrustworthy”, “cynical”, “clown”. To counteract this, it is critical that the logo express the emotions/values described in the paragraph above.
There’s a great photo that invokes the right emotions at http://www.favecrafts.com/master_im…by-Hat.jpg. However, please note that we are wanting a more sophisticated graphical design and it must be original (not based on the photo (especially due to copyright issues). The photo is just to give you an idea of the feelings we are looking for - please don’t let the photo limit your creativity :)
