GoLocalGlobal is a "personalized by you, based on your interests" resource created with information provided by locals globally. The idea is simple: we want to help you spend your free time in the best way possible, no matter how diverse your interests are. Our mission is this: provide comprehensive, accurate "real time" information about 250 cities in 50 countries around the world. Whether it's restaurants and cafes, bars and pubs, nightlife and night clubs, music and comedy, sporting events, the arts, shopping, sightseeing, adventure or if it's just relaxation you're after, we'll get you the best information out there. In addition, we even manage to present you with opportunities to generate $$$ for yourself and for charity (Susan G. Komen for the Cure). Pretty cool, huh?
The logo will be placed in the upper left-hand corner of GLG. Our target market is 18-35 year olds around the world who want to figure out the best ways to spend their free time be it around the corner in their own city or around the world. Also, since 20% of all commissions generated on GLG will be going to charity (Susan G. Komen for the Cure) we hope to build a worldwide community of people who possess a spirit for helping others.
GoLocalGlobal should be a prominent part of the logo design. That said, not wanting to stifle your creativity we do not feel strongly one way or the other whether you go the route of just being creative with unique text like Coca Cola or including an icon/design next to unique text like Squidoo or combining the text into the icon/design like Comedy Central. Wow us!!!
Please keep these things in mind as you design your logo submission:
*The logo needs to look good at nearly any scale (anything from the size of an icon on up).
*The logo should look good in the colors you submit it in as well as in black & white (Keep in mind that the rest of the design of the site will have its foundation in the winning logo design).
*The logo also needs to look good on a t-shirt, business card, sticker in the window of a place of business (e.g. restaurant, spa/salon, bar, boutique, etc).
*You may want to read the FAQ: http://golocalglobal.com/faq.html & play around on the site to get a better feel for what it is that GoLocalGlobal.com provides for its visitors and members.
*The image should not be photographic and should not include stock images or clip art
*Image should be submitted in PhotoShop.psd or JPEG. To receive reward and placement of link to your site on GLG for a year we will need the winning designer's artwork in a Vector version.
