I am an attorney who specializes in the clearance and registration of trademarks. My website is called protectamark.com and I will offer companies and individuals an affordable alternative to those document preparation companies. Instead, a lawyer will conduct the work on the clients behalf. The services will include trademark clearance searches, trademark registration services, and packages for both search and registration. I will also have a copyright registration services incorporated as well, but the focus is trademarks (hence the name).
Any company that has a trademark or servicemark - which is everyone. Broad market, but focused niche of trademark clearance and registration service.
I would like the logo to be professional and fairly conservative since it is related to a law firm. I don't want it to look like a tech company, so nothing too flashy or over the top. Any design elements should be fairly simplex and nothing overly distracting. I tend to prefer color schemes such as 1) dark blues, light blues and grays, or 2) blacks and silvers (not a shiny silver look though, just silvery tone). I like the name Protectamark as one word, but I could also envision it being designed so that it appears to be three separate words PROTECT A MARK. Perhaps a design element as a separator or stylization?
I don't really have a specific example in mind, but as the designs come in I will give feedback as to the looks that I like.
The symbol for a registered trademark is an R in a circle. I realize there are two Rs in the name at equal ends of the words. Therefore, you might be able to do something creative with that; however, most of the logos that I have seen which incorporate the R in a circle tend to look pretty cheesy, so???
Finally, the name is protectamark, but the website is protectamark.com. Not sure whether I want the logo to include the .com? Feel free to play around with it both ways.
