Risk Free Workplace (RFW)

Risk Free Workplace (RFW) assist companies to identify and manage the risk associated with the operation of Fixed Plant, Equipment and Conveyors.

Basically – RFW goes into a site ( mostly in the mining industry) and asseses the risks involved in
using the machinery there, then works out the best way to minimise these risks.

As you can see it is very plain with just the text in an oval.

I updated this for the new site I built; you can see the updated version of that old logo here.

We do not want to have just a plain text Logo now though. We want a logo mark with the text 'RFW' and or Risk Free Workplace underneath or to the side.

We require a modern look, probably with a lighter typeface. You can try both serif and san-serif. We do not want any cursive/handwritten fonts or anything too antique.

It will need to be clear and bold .

The main theme we want you to explore is ‘Inspection’. The main thing we do is ‘Inspect’ machinery in mines and find where the risks lie. So a very basic idea of a symbol would be a Magnifying Glass. We do not however want it to be that straight forward.

Use your creativity to develop a symbol which reflects the idea of ‘inspection’ without being too Cliché.

Our target audience is mainly big mining companies (such as BHP, Rio Tint, Peabody).

This means the majority of the people viewing our site and identity will be fairly corporate and also conservative. This doesn’t mean you have to be conservative in the logo design, but it must be kept
simple and sleek, nothing overly dramatic, cartoonish or colorfull.

The perfect Symbol will be strong and clear with an obvious message.

The logo will need to fit seamlessly into the site.
