bárbara con amor
I am the sole proprietor of a small all-natural soap, perfume & body care company (currently based in New York City). More than ten years ago on a trip to Spain, I stayed with a woman in Madrid who had the most amazing soap! When I inquired, she told me she made it, and showed me how! Upon my return to New York, greatly missing that sensual, natural, treat that my skin just adored, I started making cold-process 100% olive oil soap for myself. Over time, I tinkered; I played; I researched; I expanded & started to shared my creations. The more I shared, the more people demanded more!
I hated all the chemicals & synthetics that were being added to just about everything - knowing how harmful they are to the human body & the planet, and that just isn't sensual nor alive!
I love the perfectness of what nature has given us and how it restores, helps & heals us. I love bathing time, and perfumes, and the human body. I love all five senses and how incorporating those sensual experiences with my body care and the gifts of nature, transcend to calm and free my mind & soul. I understand the connection between my body, mind & soul and how balancing those are very important for overall health & wellness. And I love people, so the best way I can honor myself & others is to put myself into all that I make so when I share it, not only is it part of me, but it is filled with my love.
The two most primary are:
a) the upscale, luxury goods consumer who is stylish/chic, would perhaps visit a spa on occasion, or get a massage, and for instance, might shop at Sephora or Barney's New York, and is willing to pay more to receive a higher quality specialty product, and
b) people that tend toward being 'green', eco-conscious and prefer natural and/or organic products as well as handcrafted, quality, specialty goods - people who would shop at a Whole Foods Market or fresh farmers' market, for instance to get something ‘good for you’ but slick, or sexy too. The kind of people that would visit vineyards or buy hand stretched mozzarella.
Other audiences would be:
- any person who wants a specialty item to treat themselves - something that will feel indulgent, decadent.
- people who need a special gift.
- people who are body, mind & soul conscious like those who practice yoga or meditation, for example.
- people with babies or children who need pure, gentle cleansing options.
- anyone with any skin irritations such as acne, dryness, oily, congested, rough or even aging skin.
- people with endocrine disorders and/or cancer patients who need to stay away from chemicals.
- people with asthma and/or allergies, especially to phthalates, petroleum based products & synthetic chemicals.
- people who get headaches and/or nausea from other products and/or perfumes.
I provided various attachments for anything mention below.
All LOWER CASE (bárbara con amor), no capital "B" & FIRST "a" in bárbara needs the ACCENT over it.
I want the "bárbara con amor" to be in the DEEP RED.
For any embellishment, if possible, I'd like to incorporate the YELLOWISH BLUE AND YELLOWISH GREEN (colors of water & plants/nature) w/ the red text that SUGGESTS something more SENSUAL/sexual without being too overt - BUT could ALSO be easily printed at times IN ONE COLOR if need be.
Something SUGGESTIVE, NOT OVERTLY SEXUAL - While I DO VERY MUCH LIKE the simplicity of the sketched curves (sample logo pic attached) that bright red along w/ the head/hair etc. makes that logo too overtly sexual whereas the "S" for the Sephora logo is simple yet the shape IS suggestive in it's own way but not too overt.
I will be PRINTING ON on kraft/NATURAL brown paper & LABELS that will be from TINY TO LARGE to large as well as on PERFUME BOTTLE labels, as well as on my WEBSITE and SOCIAL MEDIA sites.
I like SIMPLE, clean lines, NOT ORNATE like the Antica Farmacista.
The FONT of my sample or the 'tarte' are ONLY SUGGESTIONS of 2 I like since they're simple, clean, narrow lines.
Think DISTINCT/CLASSY/UPSCALE w/ a HINT OF SEXY. I tried to give a sense of the FEELING I hope to exude w/ the logo, for the 'how' I am counting on you! Contact me for any clarifications at all! :)
