spoonfeedme got their new logo design by running a design contest:
New logo wanted for spoonfeedme
Check out spoonfeedme's Logo design contest…
- An education website, where high achieving students from university reteach a university subject they have already done in a series of short (5-10 minute) video lectures. - New students can search on the website based on university, faculty and subject code. They can purchase a subscription to get access to the videos produced by the former student - The videos are tailor made for students doing a particular subject at a particular university and the students are simply 'spoonfed' everything they need to know to do well in the course
Logo types to explore
- The website is currently under development and I have attached an image of what the homepage is going to look like. - The logo will appear on the left of the navigation bar. Please note that the web developers have designed the current logo, and I really hate it, so dont use it as inspiration :) - The navigation bar is going to move up and down the page as you scroll, it will change colour and will not be fixed like in the image - It may be a good idea for the logo to contain an image of a spoon - here is a video explaining a bit about the site: please note the logo at the end of the video was designed by me and I also really do not like it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=my24Z2dOCqo - here is an example video produced by a student teaching a subject. There will be about 80 of these videos per subject. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOG92njBs-o

And then… they selected a winner!
As my first experience working with a designer in a virtual partnership, I could not have asked for a better creative and responsive partner. We received over many strong submissions for our company logo but Equipe.X7 delivered a distinctive design that conveyed not only the energy and "science vibe" we sought, but also found a clever way to depict the thermal process we use in our products...right in the logo. Beyond the creative aspect, I'd have to say that Equipe.X7 was also a joy to work with in making tweaks to the design as we finalized the output.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
