Archer Rees Wines
We are a young couple that just started a wine company. We make small lot, single vineyard wines that are a unique expression of the area they are grown in. We don't want to own the world of wine, just make our mark on it with beautiful and powerful wines. She grows winegrapes and makes wine, he is a gardener who loves rare plants, we have a home in Sonoma County together where the business is based. Our home ("the office) is very modern and clean, and we love bright pops of color in blue, orange, or red. We definitely have a sense of humor and our most treasured wall hangings are a napkin from China printed with Mao Tse-Tung, an embroidered Elvis on fabric accented with sequins, and photos of our kids. We want to come across as modern but humorous and use bright pops of color. We do love fuschia blossoms and have considered using pressed images of them on our labels. We do not like traditional grapes, grapevines, or vineyard scenes.
We are targeting Russian River Pinot Noir, Dry Creek Zinfandel, and unusual varietal wine drinkers. We're so small that we can afford to create more unusual and esoteric wines. Our natural market are millenial wine drinkers, but X-geners and baby boomers will love the Zinfandel. We're going for modern and cult status (wouldn't that be great!?)
We would like the whole name "Archer Rees" or the initials "AR" in our logo. Having the word "wines" in there somehow would be positive, but it's certainly not necessary. Outside of that, have fun! How modern, clean, and poppy with color, yet earthy enough to satisfy the farmer and gardener in us, can you be?
