Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The Drive is an area within the community of ONE at Windermere. The Drive will be the most upscale street in Windermere. Homes will sell for $2 million plus on this street.
ONE at Windermere has all types of homes from duplexes to estate, but the homes on The Drive will be significantly more luxurious and more expensive. As such, we've decided to brand this street separately from the rest of the community.
Many of the lots on The Drive will back onto a storm water pond. All of the lots on The Drive are across the street from the river. They are near the river valley, tons of walking trails, natural areas, golf courses, and still within an existing community. People purchasing will be successful, with the ability to buy a home anywhere in Edmonton. They will choose The Drive because of its proximity to the river and because of its exclusivity. The logo needs to be rich, exclusive, and elite.
ONE at Windermere is a modern community. The homes are all prairie modern or contemporary modern. The Drive will allow homes of any style, as long as they are true to style and meet the strict architectural guidelines. As The Drive will be adjacent to ONE at Windermere, the logo should not be too traditional, however it does not need to be modern.
Residents who live on The Drive will wear this as a badge of honour. It will be a prestigious street in an upscale neighbourhood. Similar to wearing a name brand, living here will reflect upon the residents themselves.

"The Drive" should be the main part of the logo. "in Windermere" should be secondary.
The logo can be any colour, but bright, primary colours probably won't look as high end. I would lean towards darker, richer colours. The logo could be black or grey and not a colour as well.
I would like the logo to be easily read. It will appear on signage and billboards and needs to be a font that can be read, and easily seen from a distance.
The most comparable area currently is Windermere Ridge. You can view the website here: http://windermereridge.ca/

I find that a lot of the designs look quite similar. Everyone is using all caps. I would love to see something a little bit different.
