Mnovatschkova got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Maria Assia Photography needs a new logo
Check out Mnovatschkova's Logo design contest…
I'm a Lifestyle Wedding and Portrait Photographer with a quirky sense of humour and a knack for making up words that don't exist but clearly should. I combine my two passions of photography and travel and shoot lots of destination weddings. My target audience is 25-40 somethings, affluent professional couples, often foreign/international/expat or mixed with UK partners. They are intelligent, adventurous, love to travel, fit and good looking. They like quality, stylish, artsy things, and don't mind paying a premium price for what they like. They are actively interested in designing their wedding. They are loyal to their favourite brands, without buying their products just because it is that brand. I would like my brand to have a stylish, modern but elegant, expensive feel to it. My photography is quite punchy, joyful, but also intimate and elegant. I love to include the texture, look and feel of the surrounding backgrounds/location into my photographs. Good examples can be found here: www.facebook.com/MariaAssiaPhotography I edit in a very natural, stylish, elegant and gimmick-free way and I would like my logo to reflect that.
Logo types to explore
I am open to the idea of mixed typography where Maria and Assia use different fonts and/or colours. The fonts I plan to use on my website are likely to be Geometric 231 Light or a font similar to that as well as something along the lines of Carolyna. The logo should go well with these but doesn't necessarily need to use them. I would like the logo to have a graphic element to it in addition to the written text that I could use on its own as a watermark/stamp on photographs, my business cards and on packaging etc. My website will be very clean in design, quite minimalist and will have a intimate/reportage feel to it featuring lots of candid moments. It is therefore important to me that the logo manages to convey elegance and class, as well as the artsy/quirky adventurous travel side. It could incorporate the lens aperture in some creative way, but doesn't have to.
