Phame Entertainment is a pro-social production company that provides big name talent booking and concert production services to universities nationwide. We are not your typical business in that we are driven by a social mission, and not just profits. Our social mission is to leverage fame and entertainment to create, inspire, and fund philanthropic initiatives worldwide. This is why the name Phame is spelled with a “Ph”. The “Ph” stands for PHilanthropy.
While our social mission is core to our existence, it is equally important for us to focus on the service we provide, which is talent booking and concert production for universities. After all, the quality of our service is the reason someone will choose to do business with us (not our social mission). Our business mission is to be the most innovative company in our industry, and through constant improvement to give our clients the best event at the best price. We also strive to build a company that is more a “community” than a business (think Wikipedia, Linux, Facebook, etc)
Our value proposition is simple:
Better Price. Better Event. Better World.
We are entering an industry that is completely devoid of innovation, so we plan on being a revolutionary, unlike anything in our industry.
Our target audience is college students age 18-23.We want to appeal to the youths sense of social responsibility, collaboration, and desire to DO BETTER. Values of our target market include: Speed, freedom, openness, innovation, mobility, authenticity, playfulness, social responsibility, collaboration, and Doing Better.
We want to appeal to the youth in the same way that Barack Obama has appealed to them. With a message that they are part of something bigger than themselves. That if we all work together we can accomplish something great. It is a message of hope and optimism. Not just creating better events, but a better world.
Logo should represent our message “Do Better”. See following video:
WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THIS VIDEO that could be incorporated into logo:
-Clean, Bright, Happy, Sunny, optimistic
-Professional but not overly serious. Fun/Playful.
-Implies ACTION or DOING.
-Phame's logo could remind you of a spring day
-Rebirth, things coming alive, growing, evolving
-Bright colors. This could mean multicolored symbol with a one color wordmark (not stuck on that idea).
-Colors to consider: Sky Blues, Snow White, Sun Yellow, Grass Green,, and possibly a pink or light red for flower (maybe).
-Avoid squares and sharp edges. The feel should be circular, rounded.
-Wordmark should be clean and easily readable. I really liked the white Prius wordmark at the end of the video. "Phame" should be large, "Entertainment" should be small.
Here are examples of logos I like:
HERE IS WHAT WE WANT TO AVOID:
This is one of our competitors. We want to avoid this overly slick “hollywood” look.
Also Very IMPORTANT: We do NOT want to look like we are a “GREEN” company. That trend has been beaten to death. So while using the color green somewhere in the logo might work, it should NOT be the core color or message.
