Attorney & Law
We are a 501C3 non-profit raising awareness and seeking reform of unlawful and abusive guardianships of the adult disabled and elderly - mostly the elderly. Our target audience is Boomers on up.
Other color requirements
Our colors are black and red --- and white. (Warrior colors!) Dark gray might be an option to replace black if you want to try.
I like simple - clean - neat. Classic fonts. But, we need our name (which is long) and acronym as part of our logo and a piece of artwork that shows what we're about (to tell our story) And if it's not too crowded, our URL would be good too. Guardianship abuse is about unscrupulous people (guardians and their lawyers) profiting at the expense and to the detriment of elderly and vulnerable people. It's about elder abuse - emotional, physical and financial, so it's a dark and ugly subject. Oftentimes the elderly are forced out of their homes, forced into nursing homes where they are drugged into compliance and silence; and in a growing number of cases, they are isolated from their family. And all this happens legally -- under the guise of "protection." And there's no place to go for help. The system is broken and harmful to the people the system claims to be protecting. We are the voice of victims and their families and we are advocates seeking legislative reform. So, we want a professional type look to our logo. We have been using a STOP sign as part of our logo (don't laugh!) and we want to phase that trite STOP sign out out slowly. But, I had the thought that maybe if the logo was in the shape of a STOP sign, that would help people recognize our new look. Unfortunately, our danged STOP sign is well known. And I had an idea for the artwork: a scales of justice, weighed down heavily on one side with a big stack of cash, perhaps overflowing and the other side which isn't weighed down at all with a crowd of elderly and disabled people. The message would be that money is more important than people - and that's what guardianship abuse is really about. It's about greedy guardians and lawyers doing whatever they can to get to estates -- the larger the estate, the better. Maybe my idea at least will give you something to go on. Of the logos I uploaded below: * I like the colors of the first. It gets my attention without being too over the top. Sometimes black and red gets too bold and I like the balance here. * Like the font of the word "Fortune" in the second * Like the story told in the third * Like the look of the fourth - the black background and the simplicity of the design
