Latrobe Reading Center is a one-on-one tutoring business that provides research-based, individualized reading instruction to students, enabling them to read with greater comprehension and fluency, empowering them to overcome academic challenges, and fostering a life-long love of reading. Latrobe Reading Center’s unique method acknowledges that each student is unique, and therefore teaching methods must be varied and adaptable. By utilizing high-quality authentic texts, Latrobe Reading Center aims to teach students not only how to read, but how to learn, and to foster joy along the way.
Latrobe Reading Center’s brand should evoke feelings of trust and reliability, knowing the service it provides is dependable and that it works. It should inspire people to feel a sense confidence and empowerment, make them feel excited for improvement, for making progress, for success in the future.
At the same time, it should communicate to students that this is a place to look forward to visiting. That it is associated with making progress, receiving individualize attention for their improvement, positive reinforcement, and enjoyment of the texts/stories they read.
Essentially, the brand should be fun and welcoming while remaining durable and trustworthy.
Its target audience is students grades K-12 and their parents.
Latrobe Reading Center is different/unique because students receive detailed assessments and comprehensive, one-on-one instruction tailored to meet their specific needs. Students do not sit in a cubicle and complete worksheets independently.
