West Australian Photographic Federation Inc.
We are the West Australian photographic body under which all State camera clubs are listed. We provide a voice to the government and media for all State clubs and their members. Our aim is to promote photography by encouraging and assisting the development of new district and regional camera clubs.
The committees of existing and proposed Camera Clubs in Western Australia.
We need a fresh modern logo and a business card design. The old logo, which is attached, dates back over 50 years, and today it looks more like a badge for the front bumper of a car! Today we are very modern and progressive and we're pushing digital photography so the design should be modern. We are currently using an awful, temporary logo which is also attached.
Apart from the logo device itself, the words WEST AUSTRALIAN PHOTOGRAPHIC FEDERATION INC. must appear and we also use the letters WAPF quite often (as it's shorter).
Our web site is http://www.wapf.org.au The colours and web layout will be easily amended to fit the design of the logo so don't worry about creating a logo to fit the website.
We shall be using the new logo on a range of embroidered clothing, and on giftware such as mugs, mouse pads etc.
The single-sided business card will need the logo device, the name, "http://www.wapf.org.au", "info@wapf.org.au", a space where we will add the individuals name and position (and maybe their phone), and in very small text " ABN 24 407 542 668 ". We will not include an address or phone number for ourselves.
Colours? Well I'm not really sure. I tend to feel it needs to be something bold. We're not keen on red. We don't want anything too soft or feminine. Not really keen on greens. A dark blue or perhaps even burnt orange might work. I'm open to your suggestions.
