knitting nerd
I am 30-something Vancouverite starting a small knitting business (beginnings of a site can be found at http://www.knittingnerd.ca). My focus to start with is private and small group knitting lessons as well as a blog http://www.knitdaily.ca (the shell is up, but I haven't gotten it going yet).
I have been knitting daily for the last year and a half and an extremely enthusiastic about yarn crafts and can't wait to see where this will take me. At this time I am a team of one.
I hope to convey that although I am a knitting nerd (and I know there are many more of us out there) that knitting is fun, a great way to express yourself and meet new people. Not to mention a great stress reliever!
The new wave of knitters in their 20-30s. People who have no experience whatsoever, and also those who maybe learned a little a few years ago and need a refresher.
I am looking for a logo primarly for web materials, but will also use this on business cards down the road. I do have an image of a ball of yarn wearing glasses in my head for some reason, but am definetely open to other ideas.
I prefer simple, clean and modern designs.
Am open to color as well, but am partial to mustard, chartreuse, olive etc.
I like these color palettes at colourlovers.com:
stormy weather
yellowgreenblue
Terra?
damage ctrl
It is important that design convey approachability and warmth.
