Looking for an entity which can authorize and approve uses, products, events, and services related to the sport of futsal (5 on 5 soccer played on a hardwood basketball type of court). This word-mark or icon based logo should be able to be stamped onto products to approve them or fit with events like : Dallas Schools Futsal Cup (and on the poster there is a space for the SFA Logo.
This logo can be:
1) SFA initials turned into a word mark similar concept to FIFA for soccer (negative space to include futsal ball or futsal silhouette or other futsal elements as well as scholastic elements can be used) Needs to be immediately recognizable as a scholastic and futsal organization.
2) Icon can be created similar to how the Olympic Rings represent the olympics. (this can be any combination of images, can but an icon comprised of other icons like a shield with things inside it.
This needs to look very modern but also very official. Simple, 1 color logo will be used often but the full color logo (in the case you go the olympic route) is also interesting.
Below are current offerings by our group. Abstract use of players, ball and whatever scholastic element you use (graduation cap, etc.) are encouraged. i.e. don;t necessarily use a basic 32-panel soccer ball because that is not easily able to differentiate from soccer.
Universal notation for Futsal as different than Soccer is the use a 5, as futsal is played with 5 players. You can see in the USA Futsal logo a 5 replaces the S, but it can even be used to replace the whole concept of futsal by either a)putting it on the ball, changes that ball into a futsal ball or b) using it as a symbol as a part of the icon depicts it as a futsal reference.
This also includes things that are 5 sided (using a star creatively, using a pentagon creatively. EXAMPLE: having the 5-sided shield with SFA incorporated, for example, would accomplish the futsal component, and then you would need to add an accent or element that articulated "scholastic" would meet the objective without using a "soccer ball" explicitly.
The logo needs to work in both full color and 1 color, to be used as all white on a dark background, etc.
Look forward to seeing what this community comes up with!
