How Adam Hurwitz started their logo design journey
Remote Runway provides web-based, product and merchandising training for the fashion industry. The training is given by video directly to employees in the store.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We aim to target both fashion brands and retailers:
Fashion brands that span the spectrum from luxury houses such as Chanel, Gucci, YSL, and Prada to more mass market models like Polo Ralph Lauren or Tommy Hilfiger.
With respect to retailers, from high-end Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus to Macys and JC Penney, in addition to small to mid-size specialty stores across the US.
We are looking for a logo to represent a revolutionary new concept in fashion product training and merchandising. It will be the first of its kind. Web based, direct-to-store video training with the ability to reach multiple points of sale across the US.
The feel should be futuristic, sleek, sexy and striking, not fun.
In addition to the web site, we would like to be able to use the logo, or a part of it, for an iphone / ipad application.
Please see several ideas below for more targeted direction on concept:
-Play off of the two R's (Remote Runway). For instance, the first R is backwards.
-Incorporate a fashion runway with models circling the globe or cameras.
-We've uploaded a logo that we tried from just choosing a font we liked in Word.
