Bramboozle needed a new logo design and created a contest on 99designs.
A winner was selected from 250 designs submitted by 87 freelance designers.
We are looking for help designing a logo for our client, HelioVolt.
They are torn between refreshing their old and starting brand new.
We have already provided three sets of concepts which are not giving them the old "warm and fuzzy" so we are looking for some different perspectives.
In a nutshell, HelioVolt builds a state of the art solar film that can cover anything from windows to buildings and collects/distributes solar energy.
Think Steve McQueen with a degree in PhD in quantum physics.

We need a logo that encapsolates the company simply and cleanly. We are looking for options that range from re-envisioning their existing logo a new way to scratching everything they have and going down a different path.
They prefer the text to be "HelioVolt" with capital H's and V's, but are open to having it all caps/lowercase IF there is a clear visual distinction between the two sections of the name.
They have been most receptive to new ideas relating to suns and bolts... a variation of their existing.
- Logo samples for the company in grayscale and 2-3 colors
- Demonstration of how it would appear on light/dark backgrounds
- Bonus points for showing how the logo could be converted into a product icon.
- Something that would appeal to both new agers in the high tech world and old executives who are just understanding the web and its power.
- winner to provide all final files in vector format (.ai/.eps)
- slight customization in the name after the winner is chosen
- simple logos or cheezy suns -- looking for a different spin.
- icons that don't somehow represent the company. your icons may be cool, but will not get accepted if we can't see the company in them
