How SoundGoldBuyer started their logo design journey
Sound Gold Buyers
I'm opening a shop in Seattle, WA (Puget Sound region therefore name of Sound Gold Buyers) that will be giving people the opportunity to sell their unwanted gold, silver, and platinum jewelry. These precious metals are selling at an all-time high and rather than people mailing away their stuff to someone they've never met, they can come to my shop for face-to-face interaction. I'm also providing an alternative to pawn shops which many people distrust and wouldn't want to be seen going into. I hope to provide a classy and honest interaction so people can get the most money for their items.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
My shop is located in the Puget Sound Region of Seattle, Washington. The main demographic I'm targeting is women aged 40-65 as they have the most jewelry items to get rid of. Many women converted from yellow to white gold or platinum and they now have a jewelry box full of mismatched, broken, or unwanted items. Although women 40-65 is the main audience, I want my logo to appeal to men as well. My target audience has probably never been to a pawn shop in their life, nor do they want to. They are also smart enough to know that sending jewelry in the mail will not yield them the most money for their goods. My shop is designed to take the negative stereotype out of an experience that has been dominated by shady characters. I want to create as comfortable and classy experience as possible and I want my logo to reflect that.
Please have logo submissions take into account the fact that logo will be used on large sign outside shop, business cards, website, newspaper ads (should look good in black and white), and stationary. Logo will need to be attractive in a variety of different advertising forms and sizes.
I believe I want the colors of my logo to be blue, green, and gold but am open to other color combos as well. Green suggests the money clients will receive for their items and gold for the obvious gold jewelry they are bringing in.
Please do not use any stock images or clip art in the logo.
