TARGET: CosMed primary target audience is female 80% male 20% 40+ interested in health, beauty and wellbeing. PRODUCT: CosMed Comfort Pillow uses an innovative design to help people sleep and live more comfortably while supporting good posture. It’s a new, alternative approach to the traditional pillow. With the explosive growth of sleep-focused products from pillows to bedding to mattresses and beyond, CosMed carves out a unique space with a breakthrough product. The hinged, soft, padded side-panels support the user’s comfort enabling them to maintain a healthy face-up position. The pillow also supports the all-important lower back. With an adjustable comfort roll at the neck of the pillow that can be attached or detached as desired and comes with a convenient hot/cold pack pocket feature. This multi-functional pillow with an inventive design has multiple applications in comfort, health, beauty, travel, recovery, and so much more.
Take a look at www.cosmedcomfort.com. The existing design is very medical, sharp, and doesn’t convey an inviting aesthetic. We want a completely new corporate logo design that is warm and inviting. It needs to convey a sense of home, comfort and coziness. If there is a way to integrate the unique shape/design of the pillow into the logo (in an elegant, more abstract manner) for example, the pillow shape could be designed into the “M” in CosMed, then feel free to play with this direction. HOWEVER, this is just a small example that should not completely guide or define your design direction. This needs to be an evolution of the existing brand, but if you have design ideas that move in a completely different direction, please feel free to explore. Take a look at www.casper.com and www.purple.com to see CosMed's competition. NOTE: CosMed is one word where both the C and M are capitalized. Comfort is a separate word that can be executed in tandem with the logo or separate. “CosMed Comfort” should be designed to be used with and without the final lockup.
