Tap Water Wisdom
I am a professional speaker and communication strategist. I deliver keynotes, workshops, professional development coaching, facilitation, and presentation development coaching. I'm the author of A Tap Water Girl In a Bottled Water World and How to Avoid Totally Freaking Out! Overcoming Speech Anxiety so you can Shine in the Spotlight.
I believe that the basic ingredient for successful relationships on and off the job are simple, yet critical skills.
I am a high energy with exceptional critical thinking skills. My approach is warm, humorous, and engaging. I want my logo to reflect that. I do not want to come across as corny - instead want to be seen as approachable and witty. People know me as the Tap Water Girl (registered trademark) and Dr. Shirl.
I will be using this logo primarily for my blog, to add to a web site and to expand to create more brand awareness. Capturing the essence of who I am is critical.
Colors of current brand can be viewed at http://www.shirleygarrett.com. I am in the process of redesigning my website as well as developing the blog.
Existing markets who have engaged me to speak and people who have bought my books.
Want to appeal to association as well as corporate. I have a broad audience base including groups that are seeking an inspirational keynote, workshop and training, as well as retreat facilitation.
Over 10,000 have copies of my books and my guess is that at least 90% are fans who are waiting for a new book.
I want people to be compelled to read my blog (I know that's my job), and want them to have a sense of "coming home" to something that is natural and good. In other words, ego friendly.
A visual interpretation of tap water. Faucets, garden hose, splashes, droplets, etc. are all fine, but do want it to look original.
I want the design to be easily inserted into my blog header (I am using WordPress).
