How WebPerformance started their logo design journey
We are a website monitoring service with a unique, high-quality product in the B2B market. Competitors include for example keynote.com, Alertsite or Browsermob.
What sets you apart from our competitors is that we can test and monitor sites of any complexity. We run the tests inside a real web browsers (IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari). Our services run "in the cloud".
Only we can work with all kinds of websites, even those that make heavy use of AJAX, Flash, Flex, Java or Silverlight. User can create browser macros (scripts) that monitor website functions (transactions) in depth, and not just simple site uptime.
Please see http//:www.alertfox.com for more details about our company and services.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The target audience is everybody that has or manages a website. So typically these are Webmasters (B2B), web designers (you?), web developers, managers of web properties, SaaS companies.
The logo should be attractive to businesses and show that we are a reliable company. Even so the logo is for a B2B audience, it does not have to be boring.
What we want is:
- Professional logo
- Should reflect our service
- Later: Logo variations might be used on the sites member area (https://my.alertfox.com) and on t-shirts/stickers.
The logo should also look ok in black & white.
The logo needs to include the text "AlertFox". Maybe also (depending on your design idea) the subtitle "Monitoring" or "Website Monitoring" (or similar).
The attributes that our logo should reflect about our business are:
Reliable, unique technology, webby, smart, "Web 2.0", open source,...
Overall, the logo should convey the following message:
AlertFox is the best monitoring service for complex websites.
