mezaya got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Truth-giving web needs a logo to help make current issues understandable to us commoners.

lihat ApaBenar sebelum berkomentar --> this literally translates to "see if it is true before making comments"
We are an Indonesian-based website that combines explanatory journalism (like vox.com), fact-checking (like politifact.org), and participatory quizzes to let our readers identify how much they know and what their tendencies are regarding a particular public policy/political issue (buzzfeed on policy-steroids). The name "Apa Benar" translates to literally "is it true?", since we aspire to explain complicated current issues in public policy and politics, and further check whether some claims/statements from public figures are true. We analyse the news (coming from the gazillion news outlets out there) and seek to present simple explanations of what is happening, what the debates are, and whether a particular public claim is accurate. Our aim is to provide our readers with that breathing gap which separates the rapid spreads of information and their quick judgments (which potentially polarise our society even quicker). Our products include short articles as well as infographic banners and video. Our target market is 20-35 yo, educated, urban, smartphones savvy Indonesians, class a, b, maybe some of c.
We feel like we are closest to the news industry, but refrain from calling ourselves part of the media. Our workforce is analysts, not reporters. We are attaching some shots of the planned web layout.
