St. Ann's got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Not Your Typical Church Logo-Help Us Stand Out!
Check out St. Ann's's Logo design contest…
We are an Episcopal church, a welcoming faith community rooted in Jesus Christ. Our target audience includes any individual or family who is looking for a place to worship. We welcome people from all backgrounds and religions. Everyone is welcome to the table. We are also looking to reach and retain our existing church community, of course. Our goal is to be sure not to exclude anyone.
Other color requirements
I'd like to explore the following colors: Blues: Knowledge, trust, calm and honesty. Reds: Energy, action, passion and love. Let designers make suggestions:
-We are looking for a mark that is clean, simple, modern, timeless & easily recognizable & memorable. -Personality: welcoming, family, joy, openness, fellowship, come as you are/"low" church, progressive, accepting, faith formation, comfort, community, inclusivity. -We like the idea of imagery that shows growth & renewal. Possibly a tree (just an idea not a requirement) -It is important that it is clear that we are an Episcopal Church either through imagery and/or the words "Episcopal Church" -We do not have to use the standard red & blue of the Episcopal Church. We'd like to see options that are a bit more contemporary but still hold some resemblance to the traditional Episcopal look & feel. (OK to try the red/blue if it helps) -I have included the Episcopal style guide as reference, but again we should not let that confine the design but it may be helpful to have reference to the overall look. We are comfortable with progressing the look beyond these standards *Budget for Illustrations, Images, Fonts, etc is minimal. Please try to these costs under $50 if possible.
