The Board of Certified Safety Professionals establishes standards for and verifies minimum competency in professional safety practice. BCSP also evaluates for compliance with re-certification requirements. Since 1969, almost 20,000 individuals have achieved certification. BCSP is a nationally accredited, non-profit corporation chartered in Illinois, with headquarters in Savoy. More information about BCSP and professional safety practice is available at http://www.bcsp.org.
The target audience is safety professionals and para-professionals without certification. We have five certifications with the CSP being the gold standard in the safety industry (very similar to a CPA). The typical safety professional or para-professional will create/manage/direct safe occupational, health and environmental exposure to the public and/or workers within a company.
You will find these individuals:
In Government organization like OSHA, DOL, DOD, Army, Navy, Air Force,
Marines, DHS, etc.
Colleges and Universities with Engineering and/or Safety programs
Insurance Loss Control
I would like to have an updated image for the CSP (Certified Safety Professional). Please do not venture to far away from the diamond shape and it needs to maintain the green color. You can use the acronyms CSP in the design.
