Wanted: Visual Identity for Software Development firm

We are a small software development firm.
We are very committed to high quality, and proud to exceed our customers' expectations while being also very competitive.
Our experience ranges from embedded systems (industry, medical devices, automotive) to web applications.

We deliver very high quality and want this to come across.

We want a clean look, possibly colorful, inspiring a feeling of quality and trust.

In a second moment we'll ask for stationery and web site designs.

Small to medium-sized businesses looking for high quality, custom made, software solutions.

The logo should include our new domain name (not necessarily as the main element, be creative): softwarefabrica.it (it could be also capitalized as in "Softwarefabrica.it" or "SoftwareFabrica.it"; besides the domain name part could also be written either as .it or as .IT)
Our tagline is excellence in software

We'd like to see also an icon for apps.

The general requirements are:
- Clean, sharp and focused design
- Inspire a feeling of quality, trust and optimism
- Possibly colorful
- Usable on white background

We don't have (yet) official colors.

The files we will require are:
Print file format - .ai (CMYK)
Web file format - .png/.jpg and layered .psd (RGB)

Please do not use any stock images or clip art in the logo.

Feel free to be creative.
