Writely

We are an upcoming web and iPad app that helps people learn to write with daily practice, video lessons, prompts, coaching, and a dedicated community.

Every day users get a word count, and they try to write their target # of words each day.

Users can look through all their past writing in a timeline view to see how much work they've done, and see how far they've come.

I'd like to explore the following colors:

Blues: Knowledge, trust, calm and honesty.
Oranges: Creativity, adventure and happiness.
Aquas: Empathy, compassion, clarity and precision.

The logo will appear on a white background. The logo is mostly for web. I'd like the name (Writely) to appear in an Aqua or light blue

Star feedback guidelines:
1 star = Poor design, technical problems or unprofessional
2 star = Professional, but uninspiring
3 star = A fine design! Could be great with more work
4 star = A good design. Polished, with a good concept. In the running to win, especially with improvements.
5 star = An excellent design, definitely a contender as is.

I really love the attached Parabola logo. But please don't copy the style! People have already tried that :). I included it because A. I like the colors and B. I like a cool geometric take on the name.

Also! Please limit your use of feather/pencil/pen style designs. I'm really not a big fan of these obvious imagery logos. Please stay away from feather/pencils/pen unless you're doing something unique or subtle or abstract.
