How Judithberraondo started their logo & hosted website journey
Who are you known as?
Ray in the Grey
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
It's a website selling handmade, unique interiors, woman's jewellery & accessories such as scarfs, plants and children's fashion & accessories.
The interiors & jewellery collection is modern (i.e using concrete, dipped paint techniques, and geometric designs). It is not shabby chic.
The plants are succulents- used in many instagram feeds but difficult to get hold of in the UK.
The children's interiors and fashion are a little more whimsical.
The idea is that each product that a person buys will be a unique product that brings a little ray of sunshine into their home.
It will be a tight edit- not 100's of products- just a very curated collection, simple to shop from.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Other color requirements
Mainly grey/black with yellow or gold or copper

I have a few ideas in my head. I love the idea of sun streaming through a window to be part of the logo. Either sun shining through a big airy open window with white voile type curtains blowing in the breeze and a beautiful sea view beyond (but just a line drawing). Or, also a line drawing, but the sun shining through a Victorian sash window, into a terrace house, with a window box of beautiful flowers, and the sun landing on exposed floorboards. Or, the name- Ray in the Grey to have a design added to the typography to show that its a shot of a sunny colour with a background of grey.
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the logo and hosted website?
Very simple, uncluttered and easy to shop from.
The photos of the products will be on a white background with lots of bright light and maybe some simple props such as flowers or candles.
Jimdo templates to explore
Homepage- logo in a band across the top. Introduction of what we are. Twitter and instagram feeds. How to contact us. Email newsletter sign up
Then 4 images to press for the shopping pages and blog: house (to cover home interiors and plants), accessories (to cover jewellery and other woman's fashion), Little Ray (to cover children's fashion and home goods) and blog. I'm not sure yet whether to have photos of products as the image or line drawings.
House- shopping page for home accessories, want to add very simple, well lit photos and easy to shop
Accessories - shopping page for fashion accessories- as home above
Little Ray- slightly more whimsical and magical shopping page
Blog- very simple and modern looking
Not sure where things like FAQ, returns, shipping info etc would go
