WowMap is an iPhone application that draws a heatmap on top of the google maps based on user ratings for outdoor places they’ve visited. Users can check in on the map and rate outdoor places. iPhone 4/4s retina display oriented.
Modern Playful Simple, Clear Subtle Sleekness, and simple, convenient UI is the most important aspect here. It needs to be easy to use. Target users will be aged 15-40, English-speaking Americans who are particularly technologically savvy.
1. Fullscreen Help #1 Title: Find best outdoor places - Map on the background with mini pics of the great places people might like: park, pond, plaza, monument, pier, bridge, beach, nice house(s). Pictures can be taken from google map from the San-Francisco map, particularly this area: https://maps.google.com/?ll=37.7909 - Text: Wowmap helps you easily find best outdoor places showing you the right map. See intro.jpg attachment as the reference for that screen. 2. Fullscreen Help #2 Title: Create your own outdoor map - Picture of great place (ocean, bench, sunset) in the upper part of the screen - Picture of a map with Check in coming in and highlighting as a green - Text: Found a great outdoor place you enjoy? Check in! More you and your friends check-in, the better the wowmap becomes! 3. Main app screen (based on current mockups) with all the buttons. All possible buttons combinations are provided on the mockups. This is most important screen. See other attachments for that screen: 1) Base screen 2) “All” button pressed 3) “Map” button pressed 4) “Wow”/”So-So”/”Dislike” button pressed (bottom panel changed for 10 seconds) Be aware that "On" button on the top shoud be removed at all and replaced with "Locate me" pictogram.
