Screen 1- Home Screen:
Mom will wake up in the middle of the night because either a) their child is crying or b) they are worried about their child
If a) then the mom or dad will have to 1- feed, or 2-change diaper (after they do these things they will turn on the 3- sleep tracking feature again)
b) If mom/dad are worried they will want to be assured that their child is 3- breathing and 4- laying on its back
There fore there are 6 things parents will want access too the moment they open up the app.
1- feeding (tracking)
2- diaper change (tracking)
3- breathing/Heart Rate /Laying on Back
4- sleep ( tracking)
5- other ( growth tracking ie-height,weight, graphs of child's metrics over time)
From this home view Parents will also want to know from a glance how long it has been since the child:
1 Fell asleep
2 changed diaper
3 was last fed
Remember Mom/Dad are just waking up. This needs to be simple as can be.
the bottom navigation needs to take a parent to Settings, Graphs, the Home Screen, and Vitals
Screen 2- Vitals (Heart Rate/ Oxygen Levels/baby position.)
Parents often worry if their child is breathing and if everything is ok. If they walk in on their child they could wake them and cause unneeded problems. With this feature mom/dad will be able to feel peace of mind by looking at the app and seeing that their child is ok.
This screen will be like the dashboard of the child's health situation. Most important and central is the Heart Rate, and Oxygen Levels.
Secondary but also in view is the temperature, sleep level (ie deep sleep, sleep, light sleep, awake), and sleep position ( on back or on belly)
The screen will show the child's current vital signs for 30 seconds and then parents need to press a refresh button to see their child's statistics for another 30 seconds.
This needs to look professional/ trustworthy but also warm and inviting and not too much like a hospital device.
