eyass got their new app design by running a design contest:
[INCREASED REWARD!] Design our new app!
Check out eyass's App design contest…
Note: Since home screen is the most difficult one, please start by only submitting that screen to save time- then I will comment on that one, and you can continue to do the other screens ALSO: Please do not limit your creative freedom to my mockups. You are the design experts here, not me :) The app offers a simple and interactive way to practice the theoretical part of getting a driver’s license. In other words - its an educational app where user goes through levels to unlock content. More information (and some VERY basic mockups) here: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1TqAOxpCsDRThyozBjrjL3woWQKoP1XSaR3vKBZX6xX8/edit?usp=sharing Feel free to ask me questions by commenting in the Google Doc!
I would like a colorful style with high contrast. Base of the app should be light color, not dark. App should have a fixed menu at the bottom of screen https://www.dropbox.com/s/x8y666vtdnc9uxr/Bolt%20%28PSD%29.zip?dl=0 Here is a directory of designs you can use to design the app. It is just a suggestion though - feel free to use your own design if you want! Final work can be submitted in .Sketch or PSD
MAIN NAVIGATION: Main nav bar should be at the bottom of the screen, similar to this app: https://itunes.apple.com/se/app/ta-k%C3%B6rkort-k%C3%B6rkortsteori-f%C3%B6r-b-k%C3%B6rkort/id808891775?mt=8 HOME SCREEN This is the main screen of the app. We show what level the user is on, and the progress ahead. All levels that the user has completed are colored. The rest of the levels should show that they are locked somehow. From home screen user can enter into a level. All levels should be "connected" so that the user can follow the path. DuoLingo app does NOT have connected levels. I want connected levels, almost like this app: https://itunes.apple.com/se/app/ta-k%C3%B6rkort-k%C3%B6rkortsteori-f%C3%B6r-b-k%C3%B6rkort/id808891775?mt=8 but still keep icons like duolingo STATISTICS SCREEN Here we show stats of the user's progress 1. Overall stats 2. Answer correctness (by category) 3. Chapters completed MORE SCREEN Looks like a standard "settings" screen 1. Chapters - takes user to list of chapters in the book 2. Practice Questions - Takes user to list of categories that user can click on to practice questions 3. Final Exam - Launches exam. 3.1 Exam questions are multiple choice
What to avoid
1. No burger menu. Main navigation should be at the bottom of the app, like this one: https://itunes.apple.com/se/app/ta-k%C3%B6rkort-k%C3%B6rkortsteori-f%C3%B6r-b-k%C3%B6rkort/id808891775?mt=8 2. In Duolingo app the different levels are not "conected". Please add a connector between the levels similar to this app: https://itunes.apple.com/se/app/ta-k%C3%B6rkort-k%C3%B6rkortsteori-f%C3%B6r-b-k%C3%B6rkort/id808891775?mt=8
