Carol J got their new app design by running a design contest:
Redesign iOS Mobile App for PlanIt Sitter
Check out Carol J's App design contest…
The app is an exclusive/'white glove" approach to booking a babysitter for your kids.
No but this design will be the launch pad for the web design.
White, orange, blue, yellow. Bright and gender neutral. The theme needs to be high-end, sophisticated, simple and classy. Logo is attached.
The home page/main screen is a place where the user/parent will land upon logging in. They will see all of their posted jobs that have not been filled. They will also see their upcoming booked jobs listed in order by date. The screen serves as a way to track sitter jobs. They can also post a new job from this page, search their sitters availability calendar or edit/update/delete current jobs. The post job page is where they enter the details for an upcoming job.
What to avoid
Avoid complicated design. Keep things simple and very iOS 7 friendly.

It all began with a design brief.

Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
Carol J collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
