What's your vision?
We are rebranding our company's print and digital programs, and are looking for a designer to create a 12-24 page mock up of a newly designed field guide. We will supply the text, maps, and photos. We need your help to create a clean, crisp, and refined new look. We are in the final stages of redesigning our digital app layout, and would like a print layout that is seamlessly integrated into the look and feel of the digital, but with elements that might create interest on the printed page. DESIGNER INSTRUCTIONS: Trim Size- 6.0" x 9.5" (Portrait) TITLE PAGE - 1 or 2 pages • Use text file: “Flowers_TitlePage_Text.docx” • Can be illustrated or not (your choice) • You are free to use any photos from the "TITLE PAGE.zip" TABLE OF CONTENTS - 1 or 2 pages • Use text file: “Flowers_ToC_NWF.docx” • Can be illustrated or not (your choice) • You are free to use any photos from FOLDER “SPECIES ACCOUNTS>PHOTOS_SpeciesAccounts” INTRO - 2 to 4 pages • Use text file: “Flowers_2PagesINTRO_text.docx” • Use illustrations from FOLDER “illos_2PagesINTRO” • Text and illustrations can share same pages or be handled separately (your choice) • Illustration should be labeled using details from text file: “Intro_illos_CallOuts_Labels_Headers.docx”. • Call-outs for some illustrations will be found in same document. Not every species will have captions. Species should be grouped as follows: A- 2-3 pages Large-flowered Trillium Catesby’s Trillium Nodding Trillium Painted Trillium B- 1 page Round-leaved Sundew Indian Pipe Miterwort C- 2 pages Velvetleaf American Lotus Yellow Pond Lily Prickly Pear Yellow Goatsbeard D- 1page Bluets Wild Blue Phlox
We love the layout and design of CEREAL magazine (www.readcereal.com). Their content is formatted in a way that maximizes white space while drawing the reader's attention to what's most important. We would like a similar layout by placing a square image portraying an animal in motion in the center of a white page, for example. Through this contest, we hope to find a designer with whom we could work on other projects going forward.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Other book or magazine starts at $429.
