MyHome.ie is Ireland's leading property and homes portal. Established in 2001, MyHome.ie has transformed the experience of looking for a home for hundreds of thousands of house hunters and has also provided estate agents with an efficient and effective marketing tool.
As the largest property website in Ireland, our target audience are Irish residents over the age of 18.
After the success of our Christmas themed search panel (http://99designs.com/contests/33358) we would like to find design(s) that will work on a permanent basis. We are looking for something simple and clean that will ensure the user's eye concentrates on the search area. The site has 4 major sections that each has its own colour and distinct property type.
For Sale/Residential: Blue (www.myhome.ie & http://www.myhome.ie/residential)
To Rent/Lettings: Red (http://www.myhome.ie/lettings)
Commercial: Green (http://www.myhome.ie/commercial)
Overseas: Orange (http://www.myhome.ie/overseas)
Some of these sections have several types of search i.e. lettings has to rent/sharing/college & holiday homes, you'll see them listed as tabs.
We are open to having the same background design on each with a colouration change/some blending or different imagery for each. This is up to you as the designer. Also we don't wish to make the area flash and are looking to keep the browser/OS dropdowns rather than creating a custom CSS/JS based one for now. The dimensions of the search area bg currently are 988px x 205px. The height can be changed a little if required.
We will leave feedback on all entries. Please not that we are GMT based and will get to all designs during work hours.
The final files should be delivered as layered PSDs.
Edit: After a few designs came in we've noted that the current content (search box and icons to the right) didn't lend themselves. If you find this is the case you are free to alter these as well. All that is required is that search functionality and access to all the links shown is maintained. If it is found that the work done is more than we had expected the prize maybe increased.
