How guinness guy started their other graphic design journey
This may not be your ordinary design project: I'm building a boat and would like an image that I could use on the bow, sail or stern in a similar manner to the logo on Mad River Canoes. This boat is able to sail in shallow waters so the Plover, often found wading in the shallows, will be its namesake. I'm hoping that you can play with the black ring of his neck and morph it into a eye patch. Maybe even tuck a wing to his chest like Napoleon Bonaparte.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
My Pirate Plover should be semi-funny looking but semi-serious. There are some good photos of Ringed Plovers on google and you can also find the famous painting of Napoleon standing with his hand to chest. This is my first project on 99 design so I'm really not sure what else to say or what you might need.
- Item 1...black eye patch
Full length caricature(i.e. head to toe)
I'm not sure if it should be in profile or portrait but it might be interesting if it somehow added an element of forward motion to the boat (not much though as plovers are generally just walking in and around the water on a beach)
- Item 1...It has to be a ringed plover: not other bird will do. Also, I prefer not to have any text in the image since the boat will already have nameboards.
