First Code is an educational company that teaches teenagers how to make apps. We offer after school activities to middle to high school students (from age 9 - 14).
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
A poster for an upcoming event - April 2014. It is a 1 day coding workshop that targets only girls, so they can learn how to make an app in one day. Since it's on Easter Friday, I'd like the colors to be alive and playful.
Other notes
I'd like to have a bit more visual / illustrations either some girls coding in front of computer, or a logo for AppJamming (some student drew a picture of a jam jar, within that there were some app icons - see attached image).
The color theme can have some Easter feel to it. The red / orange is the current version, while the blue one is last year's.
A few ideas I like for Illustration - http://www.blackgirlscode.com - their logo with two silhouette of girls on top of the logo looks really great. (see file attached)
Rails Girls - http://www.boostturku.com/events/rails-girls - the squarish font and pixelart looks great.
AppCamp for Girls - http://www.appcamp4girls.com/ illustration and colors look both playful and professional.
