cvJy got their new poster by running a design contest:
Design a poster and help save the planet

EWWR (www.ewwr.eu) is the largest waste reduction campaign in Europe. Having started 10 years ago as an EU-funded project, the initiative has grown over time to the point where, in 2018, over 14,000 actions were organized for it across Europe and beyond. The main goal of EWWR is to promote WASTE PREVENTION by engaging all sorts of actors, ranging from schools and citizens to public administrations, companies and NGOs. Just like its name suggests, EWWR takes place during one week every year, which is normally in the second half of November. And, every every year, the project has a different theme. In the past, the theme has been Reuse, Food waste (prevention), (Reducing) packaging waste and Hazardous waste. This year, the theme is Waste education and communication (with a focus on behavioural change). Every year, we design a number of materials relevant to this theme, such as factsheets and a poster. The target audience for these materials is the general public (everyone from company executives to schoolchildren) and the goal is to raise awareness and interest among them about the theme, the project and waste reduction.
What's your vision?
We would like an A2 poster (420 x 594 mm or 16.5 x 23.4 in + bleed) designed that corresponds to the theme "waste education and communication". The message that this poster should convey is that: 1. Education changes (consumption) habits, which in turn can help save the planet and 2. That education and behavioural change is possible for both adults and children (so ideally feature both adults and children in the poster). We would therefore like to launch a contest for a poster in English, which will then be translated into other languages. We ask that the designer please send us not only the pdf, but also the editable file (.indd or whatever other format you use) so we can make changes to it.
Thank you for taking part in the contest and we look forward to seeing your design proposals.

Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
cvJy collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected 2 winners!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
