A music theory tutor/work book, which follows the syllabus in order to take an exam at the end.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
Book cover (front and back) for music theory book series. They will be A4 sized, and stapled together. Title is: The Complete Guide to Music Theory, and then they would go from Grade 1 through to Grade 5. Must also include my name on the front (Julia Rowley). I would like the whole series designing, but basically to all be the same design, just with different colours, and obviously the different title stating the grade.
Target audience is around 9 years through to teenagers, both male and female. They will already be learning a musical instrument, and using this book to gain extra theory knowledge or work towards a music exam. I want the cover to be funky, bright but not really childish. Perhaps some include music notes, staves, clefs, musical words etc....although im happy to see all sorts of designs. If the covers include any instruments thats fine, but I would prefer the more classical instruments rather than guitars, and it would need to not just focus on one particular instrument. Please note that I will need the front and back cover designing, and it must fit an A4 book (staple bound) when printed. There will not be a thick enough spine to put anything on it, so I would just like it to match the rest of the cover.
