Description of the product
Reusable stainless steel straws. To combat plastic straws and help our environment and of course our turtles! The straws come in various colours and sizes. They are made from 304 grade stainless steel and are dishwasher safe. Each pack comes with a straw cleaner as well.
Description of the product target audience
Eco conscious people of all ages. Product is aimed at your average beach goer who is a wannabe or actual surfer - main age group is around 20 - 40 males and females. Think Australian surfer gals and dudes. Not overly hippy or too try hard. Have a wicked sense of humour. They are comfortable in their skin and want to do good for the environment
Current box design (in attached photos) serves a purpose, but I'm not amazed by it. I do however like the simplicity of it. The font in the logo is the Simpson Font - you can get a free download. I've played with ALL CAPS and not all caps for the name of the brand ' Turtley Strawesome' open to suggestions on what the actual logo looks like as well. To be able to see the straws, I need an open window on the front of the box (see attached photo). The box themselves are going to be made from brown kraft card to keep the environmental feel. Keep the brown kraft card as part of the design. If one box design needs to be concentrated on - Please concentrate on Box 1. The box is a 4 pack of straws and will be used for different colours (so no colour specific writing on the pack). Dimensions - 7cm wide x 23.5cm high x 1.5cm depth. It comes with a straw cleaner as well. Needed on the box: Website - probably on the back or on the bottom? Recycling symbol or something encouraging them to recycle the packaging Logo on the front Facebook and/or Instagram logo - probably on the back. Text previously used on back of packaging (happy to shorten this and pluck out the most important messages). "What a strawesome human you are! Did you know that every piece of plastic ever produced is still on our planet? Not cool. Getting your chops around this reusable metal straw will stop many many many plastic straws going into your oceans and landfills. Use in your g&t. Use in your juice. Use in your double choca mocha single origin half vanilla shot latte. Heck, use it as a pea shooter! Just remember to tell your server, “No plastic straw, dude. I’m saving your ocean with my reusable one.” Go even further, and ask them to stop providing plastic straws! Love your reusable straw? Spread the plastic-free word on all the socials. #bestrawesome" Important messages for the consumer: Join the reusable revolution Stop using plastic Made from food grade stainless steel Comes with a handy cleaner with wool bristles FINAL WORDS: From my website you can understand the tone of voice that I am trying to convey. I really like the block bold colours to contrast with the kraft brown box. Happy to have some colour on the pack but bold colours - no gradients. I like the green and brown eco feel. Perhaps some accents of other colours that compliment the design? At the moment I feel there is too much text on the back - happy to take your guidance of what is absolutely needed on the back. Each straw also has a turtle engraved on it.
What to avoid
Avoid the word 'metal' in any text. 'Stainless Steel' should only be used on the back of the pack. No pinks/purples - keep it more green and browns and eco. No realistic images - icons are good.
