Description of the product
Our themed placements & bibs custom fit the world’s most popular high chair & babies shoulders. For kids - the designs are as unique, fun and vibrant as the meals they splatter all over them! For parents – they’re an extension of themselves. Just like the clothes they dress their little munchkins in, the pram they’re rocking or the nappy bag swinging from their shoulder. They are free of expectations and stereotypes. They are made of pure, silky soft & reusable silicone. Little Puku is manufactured to go the distance from sibling to sibling. Our materials are safe for our little people and the planet.
Description of the product target audience
Primary "Suburban Mums": Main purchaser is mums with bubs aged 6 months to 3 years. They’re always looking for products that will make life easier, save them time and look good. Their purchases are considered – but they still like a splurge. They like to feel like they’re adequately providing and fitting in socially with their mum communities - yet being themselves, unique and rocking their own style. They enjoy the café culture, but on a more suburban level. ‘Influencers’ in their circle and relatable mid to high profile mums. Geographically they’re in metro areas. Secondary: Yummy Mummies They’re social, affluent and reasonable spenders. They enjoy splurging on themselves and their families. They love shopping, coffee, cooking and gadgets. They’re the baby-chino crowd. They’re aged late 20’s to 40. They work part time or are stay at home’s mammas. They have 1 to 2 children and they’re not doing it on a shoestring. They love partial style. They like things that appeal to their little babes, but also to themselves as fashionable well-put-together mammas. On some level they perceive themselves as influencers. In their own circles they are influential mums.
We need a shipping box design for a new company called ‘Little Puku’ (note Puku is an affectionate term for ‘chubby belly’. The packaging will be a ‘pillow box’ manufactured in 350gsm Kraft Card. We already have a logo – see attached files. We design themed placements & bibs custom fit the world’s most popular high chair & babies shoulders. For kids - the designs are as unique, fun and vibrant as the meals they splatter all over them! For parents – they’re an extension of themselves. Just like the clothes they dress their little munchkins in, the pram they’re rocking or the nappy bag swinging from their shoulder. Whilst the packaging won’t inspire purchase behaviour (goods sold online) – the packaging still needs to be part of the brand experience, differentiate and define quality and give reassurance (qualities paramount to mums of babies and parents of toddlers alike). It also needs to make the product clear and easily understood by the consumer. • Looking for fun, minimalistic, punchy design. • White text/imagery only for copy and logo. Open to other colours in the design elements. • Fun child-like font/s • Make use of the front and back of the packaging • I really like the ‘Caralarga’ packaging example provided in the “designs I like” PDF Packaging on all products needs to clearly communicate the following key design aspects… (may do so visually – see attachment) • BPA free • PVC free • Phthalates free • Dishwasher safe • Food Grade Silicone Logo Product type: • baby bib Design and manufacturing details: Copyright 2018 – Little Puku Designed in Australia Made in China firstname.lastname@example.org www.littlepuku.com Brisbane, QLD 4051 Other copy could include a blurb about the product… Deliciously soft, the Baby Bib is manufactured to go the distance from sibling to sibling. Our materials are safe for our little people and the planet. All styles are stain resistant, dishwasher safe and have a built-in mess catcher. The Baby Bib has an adjustable strap that fits sizes 6 months to 3 years old. Could also add some fun copy like (if room allows)… For the slow eater, the sharer, sweet tooth, speedy eater, emotional eater, the critic, the nibbler, picky eater, hands eater, the dropper, the food thief, the finger licker, the over eater, the loud eater and the super food eaters.
What to avoid
Packaging design that is overtly babyish. In a world of pink elephants and blue racing cars, little puku was born out of the idea that it shouldn’t be impossible to find children’s products that are thoughtful, exciting and free from the baby stereotypes. Our product is not about pink elephants for girls and blue racing cars for boys. No cutouts in the packaging. The design will be used for other product variations (placemats etc.. ) so no specific 'bib' imagery.
Please see attached required template of the pillow box. Its length is 25cm edge to edge and 22cm curve to curve.
