SimpleK12 got their new t-shirt by running a design contest:
"I Like To Do It In My PJs" T-shirt Design

We’re a cool, fun company that provides Professional Development (training) to K-12 classroom teachers. We train teachers to use technology so that they can make the classroom exciting for today’s students. Can you believe some teachers don’t even know how to send an email? Unlike traditional professional development (PD) providers, all of our PD is delivered 100% online - through virtual courses, webinars, and digital resources. SimpleK12 coined the phrase “PDNPJ” after recognizing teachers’ limited spare time and the need for resource accessibility anytime, anywhere –even at home in their PJs. In a market space (education) that is usually very traditional… we are known for our fun and sometimes outrageous marketing. Traditionally, teachers do not like training… but we’ve found ways to make training (and our brand!) fun for educators.
What's your vision?
We’re interested in a super cool promotional T-shirt design that teachers will actually want to wear. The slogan is meant to be little racy, but the design needs to be G-rated. We want a “wow” factor that will really grab people’s attention so they are curious enough to look at the back to find out what it means. Illustrator file preferred. Vector files are OK too. Design Requirements: The design will be on a white t-shirt with a maximum of 2 colors … Please use: 1.) Our Brand color: HEX# is 00AACC, Pantone 801 (You are welcome to use various opacities of this color on the t-shirt). -The “Simple” in our logo is 100% of HEX# is 00AACC, Pantone 801 -The Bunny graphic is 30% opacity of HEX# 00AACC, Pantone 801 2.) Black Front: The slogan, “I Like To Do It In My PJs”, should be the focus and prominently displayed. While just text might work, we are really looking for something with more design than just words on a shirt. Please be as creative as you want with how this tagline and any other design elements that will appear on the front of the shirt. Back: Should say “Professional Development in Your Pajamas”. Again, please be as creative as you want with how this tagline will appear on the shirt. Our company logo should also be on the back, but we don’t want it to be the main focus. Other items to include somewhere on the shirt… We want our SimpleK12 Bunnies to be used somewhere (front, back, or perhaps both if the design is right). Please be as creative as you like – you can use the Bunnies as is, make them big, small, use just the ears, only have one bunny, use the outline, just a shadow, multiple bunnies... whatever you think will make the T-shirt look cool. Extra information: PJs = Slippers to us. We don’t necessarily have to see a pair of pajamas on the front or back of the T-shirt.
Our target audience are teachers from all over the world, male and female, ages 25-50 … majority are women, but we’d like the design to appeal to anyone. The slogan, “I like to do it in my PJs” is new for us, so we want to kick it off with a really cool design. We are not interested in the typical company promotional shirts (where the logo is huge on the front and you get it at a tradeshow and never want to wear it again)…. We want teachers to actually wear and like these T-shirts. Check out our website, blog, and twitter to get a feel for what we do: SimpleK12.com blog.simplek12.com twitter.com/simplek12
