We are a bathroom and tile retailer with a strong showroom presence across the UK and an ever-growing online presence. Our target demographic ranges from those looking for a high quality bathroom on a budget to those looking for high spec brands. As the online bathroom market is extremely competitive we need to ensure that our site is in-keeping with competitors as this is what consumers expect.
We are looking to overhaul the design of our new Magento page and add extra elements to site, particularly the home page and product page to maximise audience engagement and conversion rate. To do this, we require someone with a knowledge of designing Magento pages that have an e-commerce background and know how to identify where our site could be made better to achieve our goals. Our product page in particular needs a lot of consideration - particularly close to the top of the screen where users have most engagement; improvements such as a bigger and better placed Add to Basket button, a clearer product description etc. Likewise, our home page needs a lot of thought as at present we are missing out on directing customers to our top products, best sellers and sales items. Other pages we would like redesigning include the following: Showroom page - Need re-thinking, we have to fit in, Google maps street view, showroom video, showroom images, plus testimonials and customer bathroom images, or kind of blog at the bottom. Basket - as simple and as easy to use as possible. Just need to review basket, know exactly what they have to pay and apply a discount voucher. Clear pricing is key. Show RRP and the price they are paying for each item. If a discount voucher is applied needs to update cart to clearly show this. and tell the customer which items this applies to. Visually show if the item does not apply to a certain product Checkout - this is the one step checkout (https://apptha.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/4_one_step_check_out.jpg) This need to be as simple as possible, easy to read and easy to fill out. Although the visual is all one of page it would be easy to follow if this was split, and only displays one section at at time so not to overwhelm the customer. On the shipping section, we need option of collect from your local store. see current checkout. Standard Content Page - this needs styling so it will work with the brand and with most of the content pages to just make them look better. Example, http://www.easybathrooms.com/about-us or http://www.easybathrooms.com/easy-guarantee After this project is complete other pages will follow so we see this as a long term project.
What to avoid
stick to the brand colour and theme. Keep it as simple and smooth as possible.
