How Digivine started their web page design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Airtight Construction is a construction company and general contractor specializing in roofing that needs a sleek new website to stand out from their competition. The target audience is largely composed of business prospects so the website should highlight previous projects, testimonials, certifications, etc. and encourage visitors to call.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the web page?
The style should be a balance between architectural simplicity and business professionalism. The design should reflect the nature of the business, so ideas like using roofing or siding as a background or texture (just as an example) are fair game as long as they don't seem to cartoonish or detract from the site's professionalism. Attention to detail, clean lines, and style will be significant factors in our review. A brochure for ATC has been included for context. The logo needs to be at least similar to the diamond ATC logo seen on the current site, but the typeface and color scheme may be tweaked to better suit the design if desired.
See the attached image, ATC-Sketch.jpg, for a sketch of a potential homepage layout. The exact layout may be up to your own interpretation, but those sections should all be there: logo, phone numbers, horizontal navigation, photo showcase, headline/tagline, testimonial, bid request, certification logos, and footer. The goals of the homepage are to present a summary of ATC's business, examples of past work, clear site structure, and imbue confidence by conveying the professionalism and history of the business.
What to avoid
Avoid cookie-cutter designs and cartoonish or childish designs. We're looking for a highly refined top quality design for the new airtightconstruction.com.
The winning designer will have the opportunity for ongoing work with a fledgling marketing firm in San Francisco.
