How newmandesigners started their web page design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are a Christian Ministry looking to produce and perform plays for local churches in Northern Virginia. We write and produce each play, while travelling from church to church. We continually extend a call to motivate others to join, to help perpetuate the ministry.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the web page?
It would be great if a system to collect printable ticket sales as well as event reservations (number in party, number of dinner plates, special accommodations for elderly/disabled) were in place. Please include functionality for features like “sold-out”, number of seats remaining, time remaining until date/time of event. We’d prefer a site that’s completely mobile friendly and clean/easy to follow.
The theme of the website should also have a fun, slightly "carnival" feel, with the use of some vector treatments to the pages, but too old school (especially not with the typography). I've attached images that better illustrate this.

What to avoid
I'd like to explore the following colors:
Light Neutrals (tan, very light brown, light grey): to represent professionality of the productions
Cool colors (light/dark purple;): representing the Christian belief, that Christ is King (royal), and the message.
Accent colors for events (light yellow, green, etc.): Fun, inviting, family events, mostly on Saturdays. Light-hearted. “Lunch-provided” feel.
Please see current (unfinished) site as this example: bjplays.com
Collateral materials welcome!
