I run a web development company and I am interested in creating a separate brand for my website management system product.
How I award stars:
Lower stars do not necessarily indicate that I think your design is poor quality. It likely just means that I am not interested in the design direction you have submitted. Stars will be awarded as follows:
1-Star = Not interested in this design direction
2-Stars = Interesting idea, but not the right direction
3-Stars = I like the general concept. This design direction is worth exploring further
4-Stars = On the right track and definitely in contention for contest winner. Consider revising based on personal comments that I make to you.
5-Stars = Design is perfect or near perfect and will be among the finalist chosen
As a web development company, our content management system can really benefit just about any type of end-user. We primarily focus on business-to-business opportunities. Our target market consists primarily of travel related companies, law firms, and construction companies.
This content management application will need to impress executives, IT professionals, and other designers that might be able to take advantage of the website management solution.
Must be a compelling concept that helps make our web-based website management system *pop.* The contest winner will be responsible for providing us with the layered RGB Photoshop PSD per 99designs.com rules.
LOOK & FEEL
- Easy to use for non-technical people
- Fun and soft, but also fresh and modern. Overall it needs to look professional and polished.
- Layout is important. I have attached on layout mockup (SampleLayout.jpg). You can experiment with other layouts. Attached ProjectDetails_v1_0.pdf give more details - please read.
There are two designs that should drive your inspiration:
The first is SpringPad (attached as springpad.jpg). This is a general idea of the soft look-and-feel that I am going for. I really like the soft blue background, and the use of colors, icons, whitespace, etc. to separate the on-screen elements.
The second is a concept that was designed on 99designs.com (attached as vloerlamp.jpg). I can send the original contest URL if anyone is interested. I contacted the contest winner but did not receive a response. I love the style of the panels and how they fit together on the left and right.
Vector logo coming soon. Please let me know if you need any more information or if anything is unclear.
