Check out JGajda's Web page design contest…
Prize will be $250 paid via paypal Contest will end Monday Dec 18th at 8pm east coast time. We're looking for a 2 page design that will include an index page and a profiles page.
What's your vision?
Logo may be found here http://www.aquasparkle.com/food-logo.pdf Unfortunately we only have a PDF of the logo and no vector. Feel free to change the background color. The medallion in the logo must not be changed but the lettering may be modified to better suit your design. Site should have a design that is consistent with the nomination of business executives who are at the top of their careers, and are being honored for achievement and innovation. Site can have a bit of hollywood or star power and does not have to be completely staid and businesslike. Design Guidelines: Width - 1024 px wide Colors - The site is meant to be a showcase for successful business owners so we're looking for something with a solid feel but also a little bit of 'sparkle or polish' to liven it up and make them feel special. Something rich and lush would be preferred. The parent company uses blue and gold but we're not bound by this so if you have some interesting ideas, please feel free to experiment. Layout - Header and footer full screen width so we can code it to be fluid with css one a winner is chosen. Navigation - This will be horizontal in or near the header area. Could be in a solid bar or tabbed. The menu elements should be the following in left to right order: Mission Hall of Fame Nominate Supporters Sponsors Associations About Us Header - The header should contain the logo and a utility menu in the upper right corner that will include links to a sitemap and a contact page. A graphic in the header might be too much but a patterned gradient might add some depth. Footer needs to contain links for copyright and 3 sponsors. Footer should also span the entire width so we can apply the same fluid coding as in the header. Fonts - Navigation and any body copy placeholders should be in a common font that would be found on a Mac or PC with windows or OSX. Other fonts may be used outside of these areas though. The two pages that are needed: Index page: The content of this page will be mostly text but we would like to incorporate a section within the page that may include the x number of recent inductees to the hall of fame. Profiles Page - We like the clean look of how the profiles are presented on this site: http://reachgroupconsulting.com/about/team/ Perhaps the addition of a horizontal sub-navigation within the page for the types of profiles. If you can also code your design in valid XHTML and CSS please let us know as well. The coding aspect won't dictate our decision. We will offer timely honest feedback. Please ask if we can clarify any of these details. Thanks and Good Luck to everyone.
