Clearwater Hampers trades on the web principally with the domain hamper.com. The company is undergoing a reformation of its web presentation it terms brand, styling and navigation. It is clear from analytics that the word hampers is significantly more used when looking for a hamper and therefore the new look will be deployed in the domain hampers.com. This also means that as we approach the critical festive season the established hamper.com site can be left alone.
The company serves both retail and corporate customers. This site is aimed at retail. 50% 50% male female. Largest market is UK customer to UK recipient but significant volumes of other inbound business principally from Australia, New Zealand, America, Canada, (English speaking nations). Also outbound to the same markets. Majority of customers are 1 off, 1 hamper. A huge proportion of the annual sales activity takes place at Christmas. The customer and the recipient are not the same person.
Must Must See attached brief for full details!
Existing Site: hamper.com
New Site: hampers.com
In a nutshell looking for a website design presented in an appropriate format that our developers can work from.
Look & Feel
It is important to establish the business as being a gift supplier rather than a distributor of food parcels! The gift relies on its impact upon receipt as well as the quality of consumption. The customer never gets to see the product and so its visual presentation on the website is critical to the selection process. The customer needs to feel confident in the quality of the product (and its individual components), the delivery process and customer service.
The site is a retail operation – clarity and efficiency of process and presentation are critical to conversion. The site is being rebuilt with new structure and navigation
Visual Presentation of the Site
To be designed to cope with the majority (99%) of users of the web, in terms of browsers, plugins, flash etc. We would naturally expect essential information to “appear above the fold”.
Logo & Name Style
These are not prescribed and are potentially changeable where it would enhance the website performance
Please note: not expecting 12 pages of work. The successful design will need to be deployable through all but as far as this stage goes - we are looking for a home page, a paging showing several products and a single product - 3 pages!
