Mingoville.com needs a redesign of the current website. Our website and application are translated into 32 languages.
The Mingoville program is an Internet-based English learning application aimed at kids age 5-15 to learn in the fun and entertaining way.
But the website is mostly targeted towards parents who usually sign up their kids for the application.
The winner of this contest will ideally be able to offer further services (on a freelance basis) on this and other projects with us.
desired color scheme: soft and appealing. Be creative.
desired style: surprise us.
Visitors should get a feeling that this is an application for kids. Certainly, it should appeal to kids.
file formats: vector
and/or pixel graphics
Design Guidelines and Components
Try to keep the frontpage on a single screen and not too text heavy. Use soft and appealing design.
Mingoville logo can be found here http://www.de.mingoville.com/conten…6/lang,en/.
Feel free to modify the elements of it.
There are six (6)
main sections as follows:
a. Home b. Parents c. Schools d. FAQ e. Demo f. About us
There is also a login box, and the 32 language bar that need to be globally accessible. You can view the current layout of the globally accessible links, but feel free to play with the design.
We intend to have 'containers' or 'modules' that can be placed in rows or around the page that contain different dynamically updated information like: Latest Logins, Todays HighScore, WorldMap of Users, Meet the Mingoville citizens (http://www.de.mingoville.com/conten…8/lang,en/), User Testimonials, and various rotating swf advertising/sponsorship banners.
For example, we’ve built a short
rotating demo out of the Mingoville content in Flash (see here http://www.de.mingoville.com/banner…odemo.swf).
We need to have this demo on our
frontpage. Of course the size of it should be much smaller than that is now (our
suggestion: 200x150px). For another example of such short, rotating demo see
here http://www.clubpenguin.com (on
the right side).
