The winner will be chosen on the basis of the "conversion page" and the blog page, and very much less so the home page.
An example of a conversion page where homeowners can request quotes from contractors:
Current version of an example blog post page:
I need a "conversion page":
- This is often where the user lands searching for a contractor, so ideally it helps convince them immediately to use the platform to get quotes from contractors. On the basis of the existing site, I've tried illustrating the different elements that should go on this type of page - https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Z…EF61JPxqlk
Since the background of the header either adds or detracts a lot of attention from the form, it's an important consideration. As can be seen from one of the attached links, one of the designs I like doesn't have people in it, although I'm open to either.
The call to actions are less dominant here, but still very much present. This is the suggested frame for this page - https://drive.google.com/open?id=1r…vPjgDdi-lx
Here's the frame - https://drive.google.com/open?id=1b…irGV7DnThG
Since most users land on either conversion pages or blog pages, that's where the main focus will be.
